A combined-cycle gas turbine block with an electrical output of 190 MWe and a thermal output of 95 MWt, built at the 'Zielona Góra' CHP plant (Elektrociepłownia 'Zielona Góra' S.A.) and fuelled by high-nitrogen natural gas from the domestic Kościan–Brońsko fields. It was the largest energy facility of this type in western Poland based on domestic gas, producing electricity and heat in cogeneration. Construction of the block was a condition of the company's privatisation (privatisation agreement of 7 September 2001, under which the Minister of the State Treasury sold 45% of shares to a consortium of KOGENERACJA S.A. and Dalkia Termika S.A.). The general contractor, under a turnkey (EPC) formula, was a consortium of Elektrim-Megadex S.A. and Enprima Engineering Ltd. (Finland). The first foundations were laid on 21 August 2002, construction took two years, and operation began on 9 August 2004; ceremonies marking the block's start-up were held on 8 October 2004, and the block was taken into commercial operation from 1 October 2004. The main source of financing was a loan from a consortium of Pekao S.A. and PKO BP S.A. banks under the Credit Agreement of 30 April 2002 (a facility of approximately PLN 550 million was made available, of which PLN 505 million was drawn), and the Ekofundusz Foundation provided a grant of PLN 40 million to partially finance the purchase of the gas turbine unit. The total cost of the investment exceeded PLN 532 million. Gas is supplied from the Kościan–Brońsko field via a 100-kilometre high-pressure pipeline (an accompanying investment carried out and financed separately by PGNiG S.A.).

Significance

The combined-cycle gas turbine block at the 'Zielona Góra' CHP plant was the largest energy investment in western Poland based on natural gas from domestic fields, and one of the first large combined-cycle gas turbine blocks in Poland fuelled by domestic gas. It made it possible to use high-nitrogen gas from the Kościan–Brońsko fields for the highly efficient cogeneration of electricity and heat, replacing coal-based generation and reducing emissions. Electricity is fed into the national transmission grid via a 220 kV line to the substation in Leśniów.

Independence is counted the same way the gate that admits a record counts it: subdomains and titles from one publisher are a single voice, Wikipedia is zero. That is why the number is lower than the number of links. Three is the minimum.
