S3 Expressway, Gorzów Wielkopolski – Sulechów section

Construction of the S3 expressway on the Gorzów Wielkopolski – Sulechów section, forming part of the Gorzów Wielkopolski – Nowa Sól corridor, with a total length of 79.688 km in the Lubusz Voivodeship. The investment covered two sections: Gorzów Wielkopolski – Międzyrzecz (approximately 37.146 km) and Międzyrzecz Południe – Sulechów (approximately 42.954 km), divided into four tasks. The investor was the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA), and the undertaking was carried out under the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment 2007–2013 (POIiŚ). The total value of the project was PLN 2,111,586,841.41, with maximum European Union co-financing of PLN 1,569,427,811.73. Construction contracts were signed in 2010–2011 (including on 23 July 2010 and 16 June 2011), and the contractors included consortia involving Mota-Engil, STRABAG and Budimex Dromex. Individual sections were brought into service in stages: the Międzyrzecz Południe – Sulechów part was opened to drivers from May to August 2013 (including on 27 May 2013, 18 June 2013, 11 July 2013 and 21 August 2013), while the Gorzów Wielkopolski – Międzyrzecz section opened on 15 May 2014, completing the whole corridor.
