S7 Expressway – Southern Gdańsk Bypass (Straszyn – Koszwały)
The Southern Gdańsk Bypass is a 17.9 km section of the S7 expressway connecting the A1 motorway and the Tricity ring road (S6) with national road no. 7 at Koszwały, running along the southern edge of the Gdańsk agglomeration. The investor was the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA), Gdańsk branch. Construction began in mid-October 2009, and the route was opened to use on 9 June 2012. The total cost of the project was PLN 1,580,833,094.37; the project was co-financed from European Union funds under the Cohesion Fund (Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment), whose contribution amounted to 85% of eligible costs (PLN 1,215,937,101.41). Several interchanges and numerous engineering structures were built along the route, including one of the longest viaducts in Poland. The road took transit traffic out of the centre of Gdańsk and completed the southern part of the Tricity's ring road system.

Significance
The Southern Gdańsk Bypass completed the southern part of the Tricity's ring road system, connecting the A1 motorway and the Tricity ring road (S6) with national road no. 7 towards Elbląg and Warsaw. The route took transit traffic, including heavy goods vehicles, out of the centre of Gdańsk and became part of the S7 expressway corridor and European route E77.

Every fact on this card comes from the sources below. Next to each source – which fields it supports.
Independence is counted the same way the gate that admits a record counts it: subdomains and titles from one publisher are a single voice, Wikipedia is zero. That is why the number is lower than the number of links. Three is the minimum.
A “wiki” mark means the value stands on Wikipedia alone. Our count of independent sources treats it as zero, so read such a place as less firmly documented than the rest of the card – that applies to an outcome row, a figure, a date and a status alike.
