US Army Equipment Long-Term Storage and Maintenance Complex in Powidz (LTESM-C)
The Long Term Equipment Storage and Maintenance Complex (LTESM-C) is a facility for the long-term storage and technical servicing of military equipment, built on land adjacent to the 33rd Air Transport Base in Powidz (Wielkopolskie Voivodeship). The facility is intended to store and service the equipment of one US Army armoured brigade (including approximately 85 Abrams tanks and accompanying vehicles), and was described as the largest single infrastructure project financed by NATO and the USA in the last 30 years. The complex comprises five humidity-controlled warehouses, each measuring approximately 200 by 60 m, with a combined area of approximately 60,000 m2, a two-storey concrete workshop covering 8,600 m2 with 20 repair bays, and a Vehicle Assembly Point covering 22,550 m2. The construction contract, worth USD 209.4 million, was signed on 14 November 2019 with a consortium of Ske Support Services GmbH, Warbud S.A. and Project Spółka Jawna. The investment was financed under NATO's Security Investment Programme (NSIP); the total cost was put at over USD 360 million, or approximately PLN 1.5 billion. The complex was opened on 5 April 2023, with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence in attendance.

Significance
The LTESM-C complex in Powidz has been described as NATO's largest single infrastructure investment since the end of the Cold War, and the largest project of its kind financed by NATO and the USA in the last 30 years. It allows equipment corresponding to one US Army armoured brigade to be stored in Poland, which, according to the US Army, cuts the time needed to equip arriving allied forces from about a month and a half to a few days, strengthening the ability to rapidly reinforce NATO's eastern flank.
